A welterweight bout between Nick Osipczak and Duane Ludwig is in the works for UFC 122 in Germany in what could prove to be a must-win for both fighters.
Osipczak (5-2, 2-2 UFC) came off of a semi-finals performance on "The Ultimate Fighter: United States vs. United Kingdom" with back-to-back wins over Frank Lester and Matt Riddle. Since then, though, Osipczak has lost back-to-back contests to Rick Story and Greg Soto.
Ludwig (19-11, 2-2 UFC) is also coming off of back-to-back losses. He will look to rebound from a gruesome ankle injury suffered in his most recent loss to Darren Elkins. Ludwig is 1-3 in his last four fights.
Osipczak last three fights:
Loss (Unanimous Decision) Greg Soto - UFC 118
Loss (Split Decision) Rick Story - UFC 112
Win (TKO) Matt Riddle - UFC 105
Ludwig last three fights:
Loss (TKO) Darren Elkins - UFC Live on Versus 1
Loss (Arm Bar Submission) Jim Miller - UFC 108
Win (Submission due to punches) Ryan Roberts - Ring of Fire 36
