Ross Pearson vs. Cole Miller
Round 1 - Pearson opens with some leg kicks. Pearson lunges in and Miller scoops up a single leg and pushes against the cage. Pearson taken down slightly, but pops back up. Miller jumps guard, but lets go. Miller landing some punches, and is taking advantage of his reach. Pearson connects with a hard jab. Pearson really going to work on Miller's leg. 10-9 Pearson. Round 2 - Pearson with a combination, then a left hook to the body. Miller shoots for a takedown, and Pearson scrambles away. Miller connects with two straight rights, and Pearson is rocked. Pearson stumbles and drops, and Miller jumps on his back and sinks in a rear-naked choke and Pearson taps!

Jim Miller vs. Gleison Tibau
Round 1 - Tibau with a big left hand. Tibau catches a leg kick and takes Miller down. Tibau tries to pass, and they scramble back to the feet. Miller connects with a jab that staggers Tibau, and they clinch. Tibau drops to a double leg, but Miller has a hold of the neck. Back to clinch, and they break. Tibau catches another kick, but misses with a punch. Miller comes over the top with a left, and Tibau answers. 10-9 Tibau by a hair. Round 2 - Miller connects with a BIG right, and jumps on Tibau. Tibau throws him off, but Miller connects with a knee to the body and clinches. Tibau hits a takedown, but gives it up and they're up. Miller shoots for a single but loses it, and Tibau answers with a takedown of his own. 10-9 Miller by virtue of landing the better strikes, but I wouldn't be surprised if the judges give it to Tibau for the two takedowns. Round 3 - Tibau with a jab-jab-cross. Miller pushes forward and they clinch. Miller lands a knee as they break. Miller stuffs a takedown. Miller pushes forward again and lands a left and drops for a takedown but can't get it. Tibau now shoots for a double, and they're against the cage. Miller shoots and is stuffed. It ends against the cage. 10-9 Miller, and 29-28 Miller on our unofficial card, but this fight was as close as they come.

Efrain Escudero vs. Charles Oliveira
Round 1 - Oliveira connects with a flying knee after some wild kicks, and they clinch. Big leg kick from Oliveira after they break. Oliveira connects with a left then shoots for a takedown, but it's stuffed. Oliveira misses another flying knee, and Escudero almost connects with a counter right. Oliveira grabs a single leg, but Escudero stays up, and Escudero lands on top in half guard. Escudero hits some elbows as the round ends. 10-9 Oliveira. Round 2 - Oliveira lunges in and eats a punch. Oliveira grabs another single and completes the takedown, but Escudero has his back. Back up to the feet. Oliveira hits another leg kick. Muay Thai clinch by Oliveira, and he lands two knees. Nice body kick by Oliveira, then leg kicks, then another body. 10-9 Oliveira, and his confidence is growing. Round 3 - Escudero catches an inside leg kick to the crotch, he's okay though. Switch knee by Oliveira, and they clinch. Oliveira catches a big knee to the crotch, and he doubles over in pain. Oliveira seems really hurt, but they go again. Oliveira catches a leg kick, and a big takedown. Back up to the feet, and Oliveira jumps on his back! He sinks in a rear-naked while Escudero is still standing, and he taps!

Nate Marquardt vs. Rousimar Palhares
Round 1 - Marquardt in a low stance, no secret he wants to stay on the feet. Marquardt pushes forward with strikes. Palhares wades through punches and tries for a takedown, and ends up in north south. Palhares drops for a leg lock and loses it, and MARQUARDT JUMPS ON TOP AND SMASHES PALHARES. Marquardt putting on the punishment, and it's over! It appears on the replay that Palhares is pointing at Marquardt after he loses the leg lock, yelling that Marquardt is greased, and that's when he eats the huge punch.

In the post-fight interview, Joe Rogan makes it clear that Marquardt was checked before the match (as per usual) and no grease was found.

Mark Munoz vs. Aaron Simpson set for UFC 123

All-American wrestlers Mark Munoz and Aaron Simpson will square off in a middleweight bout at UFC 123 in Detroit.

"I guess it is out. I'm fighting Mark Munoz Nov 20th in Detroit at the Palace. It's gonna be weird...Mark is a really good friend of mine and possibly one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. 10 weeks til I punch him in the face!" Simpson wrote on Facebook.

Since moving down to middleweight, Munoz (8-2, 3-2 UFC) has amassed a 3-1 record, with his lone loss coming to Yushin Okami at "UFC Live on Versus 2."

Simpson (7-1, 3-1 UFC) will look to rebound from his first professional loss, a TKO stoppage to Chris Leben at "The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale."

Matt Hughes vs. BJ Penn III in the work for UFC 123

A welterweight rubber match between former champions Matt Hughes and BJ Penn is reportedly in the works for UFC 123.

This bout would be the third time that Penn and Hughes have squared off in the Octagon, and Penn's first foray into the welterweight division since losing to Georges St. Pierre at UFC 94.

Penn moved up to welterweight to face Hughes for the welterweight title at UFC 46, upsetting the champion and becoming the second man to hold UFC titles in two weight classes. Hughes would even the score at UFC 63, TKO'ing Penn to retain the welterweight belt.

Hughes is riding a three-fight win streak, most recently submitting Ricardo Almeida at UFC 117.

Penn has been left looking for answers after losing back-to-back contests to Frankie Edgar, the last coming at UFC 118.

Gerald Harris vs. Maiquel Falcao in the works for UFC 123

A middleweight bout between Gerald Harris and UFC newcomer Maiquel Falcao is in the works for UFC 123.

Harris (17-2, 3-0 UFC) is riding a ten-fight win streak, nine of which have come by stoppage. The former "Ultimate Fighter 7" cast member has already earned two Knockout of the Night bonuses, including a highlight-reel slam knockout of Dave Branch at UFC 116.

Falcao (25-3, 0-0 UFC) has amassed 24 finishes in his 25 wins, including 21 by KO or TKO. The Brazilian is on a seven-fight win streak, and has finished all seven of those opponents in the first round.

Name: Brian Foster

Fighting: Forrest Petz

Record: 1-2 UFC, 13-5 overall, on a one-fight losing streak

How he got here: Defeated Brock Larson by TKO at UFC 106, then lost to Chris Lytle by kneebar at UFC 110

Why he needs the win: None of Foster's professional fights have gone to decision, so it is safe to say he looks for the finish in every bout. There are places for exciting fighters with unspectacular records in the UFC, and Foster did earn Fight of the Night honors in his UFC debut against Rick Story at UFC 103, but no fighter should feel comfortable going 1-3 in the promotion.

Name: Forrest Petz

Fighting: Brian Foster

Record: 2-4 UFC, 18-8 overall, currently on a two-fight UFC losing streak

How he got here: Petz was cut from the UFC following a split decision loss to Josh Burkman at UFC 77, then went 5-2 outside of the promotion. He was resigned and stepped in on short notice to face Daniel Roberts at UFC 116, and lost by split decision.

Why he needs the win: Petz faces Foster in what could be a loser-leaves-town match. Petz should be feeling the pressure, given that he has already been cut once and lost his return match to Roberts.

Josh Barnett signs with Strikeforce

Former UFC heavyweight champion and top-ten heavyweight Josh Barnett has signed a multiple-fight deal with Strikeforce.

Barnett (26-5) is currently riding a six-fight winning streak. He last competed at Impact FC 1 in July, defeating Geronimo dos Santos by TKO in the first round.

Unfortunately for Barnett, he has become known as much for his out-of-ring controversies as his in-ring accomplishments. After defeating Randy Couture to become the UFC heavyweight champion, a then-24-year-old Barnett was stripped of the title for failing a post-fight drug test. More recently, Barnett is appealing a 2009 failed drug test that led to the cancellation of a fight against Fedor Emelianenko and the subsequent fall of Affliction as a fight promotion.
